In an atmosphere that was both exciting and electric, the ‘brother-sister’ school combined team from Vidyartha College and Pushpadana College became the undisputed Cup Champions by defeating the combined team of Science College and Girls’ High School Mount Lavinia 1-0 in the final at the annual C Rugby Tag Carnival last Saturday at the CR&FC Ground in Colombo.

Organised by Agoal Rugby headed by renowned international rugby referee Dilroy Fernando for the ninth time, a large crowd numbering more than 2000 spectators according to the organisers witnessed the action as the combined team from Kandy stole the show and took home the coveted trophy.
