Six teams battle for three SF slots

The Dialog Schools President’s Trophy Knockout Rugby tournament after the completion of pre-quarter final encounters will now see six teams battling it out in three quarter-final encounters today and tomorrow for three semi-final slots.

St. Peter’s, last year’s runner-up was forced to withdraw from the tournament due to serious allegations being brought up against some of the senior players and thus Zahira who was to confront the Peterites will now get a walk over and advance to the semi-final.

So the remaining three semi-final berths will be fought out by defending champions Isipathana, Trinity, Wesley, S. Thomas’, Royal and D.S. Senanayake College.
