Science College once had a reputation known as giant killers of schools rugby as they rubbed shoulders with the top schools in the island.
Their first giant-killing performance was in 1981 just three years after they began playing rugby when they pulled off an upset win against hometown rivals S. Thomas' College and followed it up in 2015 with a scintillating win against fancied Isipathana in the final of the President's Trophy knockout tournament to emerge champions.
