Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa coasted to an easy outright win by eight wickets over Thurstan College in their Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter at Moratuwa yesterday.
The second day's play saw the Cambrians in reply to Thurstan's 192 resuming from their overnight score of 139 for 7 going on to make 213.
Thurstan batting the second time was made to struggle for their runs and was bowled out for a low score of 109 which left the Cambrians a run chase of 89 runs.
In two other outright wins that were recorded, Zahira Colombo pulled off a convincing nine wicket win over Dharmaloka MV Kelaniya at Maradana and Vidyaloka MV record a comfortable 93 runs win over Piliyandala Central at Karandeniya. The other matches ended in first inning wins for Trinity, Richmond, Devapathiraja MMV, Taxila Central Horana and Dharmapala MV Pannipitiya.
