The Presidential Environment Awards 2025, held recently, celebrated the achievements of Sri Lankan entities championing environmental responsibility.

However, unknown to many, the event also captured the spirit of innovation and sustainability symbolized in the very trophies presented.
This year's Gold, Silver, Bronze, Merit and Special Jury Award trophies bestowed at the Presidential Environment Awards were crafted by transforming approximately 141 Kilograms, i.e., 12,600 used aluminium cans, into bespoke creations, thereby reinforcing the importance of circularity.
