CECB and SLEC get consultancy contracts for China-backed low-income housing project

THE Cabinet of Ministers at their meeting on Tuesday approved awarding several major consultancy contracts under a Chinese Government-supported donation scheme for low-income earners to the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB) and the Sri Lanka Engineering Corporation (SLEC).

The Urban Development Authority (UDA) called for expressions of interest (Eols) for the selection of consultancy institutions under three packages for supervisory activities of residential sites of 1,996 housing units being constructed under the donation initiative of the Government of China for low-income generating individuals.
