Woman dies after small boat collapses in Channel

A MIGRANT died after a dinghy deflated yesterday, pitching dozens of people into the middle of the Channel.

The woman was flown by helicopter to Dover but died despite rescuers giving first aid. Sources said the boat collapsed as it reached UK waters while being shadowed by French crews - who allegedly waited for UK Border Force vessels and the RNLI.
