KING Charles has taken another step on the road to recovery by announcing he will take part in the Trooping the Colour ceremony in two weeks' time.
However, crowds hoping to see Kate, 42, join senior members of the Royal Family on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the event on June 15 look set to be disappointed.
The Princess of Wales, who is undergoing chemotherapy after her cancer diagnosis, will also "definitely" not be at the Colonel's Review of troops on June 8, Kensington Palace announced yesterday.
As Colonel-in-Chief of the Irish Guards, she would nor mally have taken the salute at the rehearsal for Trooping the Colour, held a week before the main event.
