VILLANS ARE ALL JOLLIE AT THE SEASIDE
Daily Express
|December 04, 2025
OLLIE WATKINS scored twice on a memorable night for Aston Villa - and a landmark one for manager Unai Emery.
Villa found themselves trailing 2-0 after 29 minutes but Watkins (circle) then struck twice before halftime.
It set up a thrilling second half which saw Villa hang on to move into third in the table - with leaders Arsenal heading to Villa Park on Saturday.
And last night's win means Emery has now won 62 Premier League games at the club, the most by a Villa boss in the competition.
Brighton opened the scoring through Jan Paul van Hecke, who bundled the ball into the net after Marco Bizot failed to clear Ferdi Kadioglu’s corner.
Dutch goalkeeper Bizot was thrown into action at short notice after Emi Martinez suffered an injury in the warm-up.
