MANCHESTER UNITED were stupid to let Cristiano Ronaldo leave, says Joleon Lescott.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner made a fairy-tale return to Old Trafford in 2021, coming back to the club 12 years after he left for Real Madrid.
Ronaldo marked his second debut with two goals and continued scoring but soon began clashing with management.
He fell out with Erik ten Hag (inset) and after a scathing interview departed for Al Nassr in late 2022.
