UK letting 'hundreds of IS terrorists walk free'

HUNDREDS of Islamic State terrorists are roaming free on British streets because of a failure to prosecute them, an inquiry has warned.

An estimated 425 “fighters” have returned to the UK after committing horrific crimes in Syria and Iraq.

MPs and peers are calling for the Government to amend the Crime and Policing bill, which is making its way through Parliament, to make prosecutions easier. Lord Alton, chairman of the Joint Committee on Human Rights, said: “This is not something the UK can simply wash its hands of because it happened overseas.”
