Spurs boss Frank convinced £51m new boy Xavi is starting to adapt to life in the Prem
THOMAS FRANK is not losing any sleep over Xavi Simons’ Tottenham struggles because he believes the Dutchman is showing signs of coming good.
The Netherlands international has registered just one assist, from a corner, since sealing an initial £51.8million switch from RB Leipzig in late August.
Frank, speaking ahead of tonight's Champions League showdown with Monaco, feels there is evidence to suggest he is getting closer to awakening the beast.
Asked whether there were clear parallels between Simons and Liverpool's Florian Wirtz, Spurs boss Frank said: “It's a very good comparison as Wirtz is also a good player and, just like Xavi, he has come into a new country, new club, new city and needs to settle, it’s part of it.
“We are all getting judged every game but we also need to see the bigger perspective.
