Borthwick says brilliant England star just thrives off the pressure
ENGLAND boss Steve Borthwick has warned Ireland they are wasting their time if they try to windup Henry Pollock this weekend.
Borthwick yesterday handed the 21-year-old his first England start and then urged him to get the Twickenham crowd jumping for joy from the word go on Saturday.
Pollock has been a lightning rod for opposition teams with his headband, blond hair and exuberant try celebrations and was targeted by Bordeaux-Begles players in Northampton’s Champions Cup final defeat last season.
But Borthwick insists Pollock feeds off it and can give fans something to cheer about on Saturday after last weekend's Calcutta Cup collapse.
