Suella: Greek 'zero tolerance' migrant stance is only way

BRITAIN must learn from Greece and take a zero-tolerance stance on illegal migration, Suella Braverman said yesterday.
The Home Secretary added much more needed to be done to stop small boats crossing the Channel.
Numbers have fallen by around 20% this year, but she said the Government needs to learn from Greece, which has slashed illegal migration by 95% this year.
Deterrence
Speaking on the Aegean Sea island of Samos, she said: "What we can learn from the Greeks is that they've approached it with a policy of deterrence, tough measures, bold measures with a focus on making it clear that illegal arrivals will not be tolerated."
