Solanke surgery delays striker's Spurs comeback

TOTTENHAM will have to go without Dominic Solanke for a little bit longer.

The 28-year-old is set to undergo surgery on his ankle in a bid to solve the problem that has dogged the striker since the summer.
Solanke is yet to start a competitive match this season after suffering the injury while miskicking a ball in training. However, he appeared to be on the way back after returning to sessions with his Spurs teammates this month.
That came after an injection into the England forward’s ankle in the international break this month that initially appeared to settle it down.
But Solanke continued to feel discomfort in his foot and had to stop training.
