Sir Chris: Start prostate tests much earlier

SIX-TIME Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy has called for systemic change in the ways men get tested for prostate cancer.
The cycling legend, 49, was diagnosed with stage four of the disease in 2023 and told last year that it had spread to his bones and is terminal.
NHS guidance says men over 50 are at highest risk of developing the disease, but Sir Chris wants screening to start sooner, saying: “With prostate cancer, the earlier you find it, the easier it is to treat.”
