Leon lives up to Phelps acclaim
IT TAKES a special swimmer to leave the great Michael Phelps in awe.
No one ruled the pool like the iconic American, who won an unfathomable 23 Olympic gold medals.
But he struggled to contain his excitement when commentating on the race that saw Leon Marchand break his 400m individual medley world record in Japan last summer.
The heir to Phelps' throne has not let him down since. In less than two hours on 'Wonderful Wednesday', Marchand set these Games on fire.
That was all it took the phenomenal Frenchman to win two gold medals in the same session not even Phelps managed that.
