Shambles of vets' funding

VETERANS have been shunned by the Government again a week after it promised to honour our war heroes.

It emerged last night that charities are still in the dark over funding, days before they take a proud band of brothers and sisters to Europe for remembrance services. The first trip leaves on May 2.

But no one has bothered to contact organisations taking the veterans to the scenes of their wartime exploits.

It comes after a shambles, exposed by the Daily Express, saw No 10 plunged into crisis for reneging on a pledge to fund the commemorations.
