ARYNA SABALENKA’S quest for a maiden Wimbledon crown continues, as the world No.1 defeated former doubles partner Elise Mertens to reach the last eight.
The Belarusian, 27, won two Grand Slam titles with Mertens before hanging up her doubles racket.
And the world No.1 backed up her thrilling victory against Emma Raducanu by beating No.24 seed Mertens 6-4 7-6 on Centre Court.
