Walkers fail to pay hotel that helped them
Wasdale Head Inn put up the walkers
TWO walkers rescued from England’s highest peak left a hotel bill unpaid and took head torches belonging to mountain rescuers who had saved their lives.
The owner of a remote hotel by 3,209 feet high Scafell Pike in the Lake District told how the ungrateful pair, brought down after a seven-hour rescue in freezing temperatures, failed to pay their £130 bill.
