Remembering my mother, today and every day
Daily Express
|March 16, 2026
PRINCESS Diana looks radiantly happy alongside a toddler Prince William in a flower meadow, in this previously unseen image shared by the Prince of Wales as he said he remembers her "every day".
TV host Holly Willoughby with her mum Linda and sister Kelly
The photo, taken at the family's main home at Highgrove in Gloucestershire in 1984, shows the young Diana enjoying a sunny day with her eldest son.
He is just two years old in the photo, wearing a striped top and red trousers as he gazes at a poppy.
Diana sits cross-legged beside him wearing a rose pink jumper and jeans as she smiles shyly at the camera through her fringe.
The picture from the Royal Family's private collection was released for Mother's Day on Kensington Palace's official social media pages. William, 43, wrote alongside it: "Remembering my mother, today and every day.
"Thinking of all those who are remembering someone they love today."
Diana, who died aged 36 following a road accident in Paris on August 31, 1997, would have turned 65 on July 1 this year.
