Irish chiefs to probe unseat at final fence
THE Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board are to hold a probe into Philip Byrnes’ controversial last-flight unseat from Redwood Queen at Wexford on Wednesday.
The eight-year-old mare, trained by the jockey’s father, Charles, drifted from 13-8 to 13-2 for the six-runner Wexford Claiming Hurdle that opened the track’s seven-race card.
