Maguire urges United to win Europa trophy for loyal fans
HARRY MAGUIRE says Manchester United owe it to their fans to win the Europa League after such a shambolic domestic season.
The Red Devils, 14th in the Premier League after 15 defeats this season, planted one foot in the Europa final with a 3-0 win at Athletic Bilbao.
Maguire played a key role in Casemiro's first-leg opener on Thursday before two goals from skipper Bruno Fernandes put them on the brink of the final in Bilbao on May 21.
After their worst top-flight campaign Maguire said winning the Europa title and with it a shortcut into the Champions League is the least the players owe their loyal supporters.
The centre-back said: "It wouldn't save the season because I think it's been disappointing.
