'Plane passengers terrified as drunk man tries to open door mid-flight'

A BRITISH man is facing up to five years in prison after allegedly attempting to “open the doors” of a Ryanair plane while it was in mid-flight.

The man, who has not been publicly named, was in custody in Toulouse, France, last night.

He was said to be the “ringleader” of a group of “drunk men” who were dragged off the flight by police last Friday night.

The plane was flying between London Luton Airport and Alicante, Spain. It was forced to make an emergency landing in France after the man reportedly made the move.

Warnings

An investigating source said: “He was next to an emergency door, and trying to open it. It was terrifying for everybody else on the flight.

“The pilot had no other option except to land the plane.”
