Royals' joy for King's nephew
PETER Phillips has announced that he is engaged to Harriet Sperling, four years after his divorce.
The Princess Royal’s son began dating the NHS paediatric nurse just over a year ago.
The pair have since been pictured together at several events including Royal Ascot, Wimbledon and at the Prince of Wales’ recent charity polo match in Windsor.
A statement confirming the happy news yesterday read: “Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today confirmed their official engagement.
