Pastor gave his own life to save wife from lorry

A CHURCH pastor made a split-second decision to save his wife when their car was hit by an out-of-control HGV on the motorway, an inquest heard.

David Lalgee, 64, turned the car so that he took the full impact, saving his wife Jo in the passenger seat.

Bolton coroners court heard the crash in March was no one's fault and came as the HGV, being driven by Tracy Carradice, suffered a tyre blowout on the M60 in Salford.
