'Now Amie can rest in peace'...student is guilty of stab murder

THE wife of a woman butchered on a beach yesterday said she can now be at peace after a criminology student was convicted of murdering her in a stabbing frenzy.

Nasen Saadi, 20, who used the name "Ninja Killer" on his Snapchat account, was also found guilty of the attempted murder of Amie Gray's friend, Leanne Miles, 39.

Fitness trainer Amie, 34, and Leanne were attacked by Saadi as they chatted by a small fire on Bournemouth beach at 11.40pm.

Brave Amie, who had tried to save her friend, died from 10 knife wounds, including one to her heart. Leanne was stabbed 20 times.

Yesterday, Amie's wife Sian Gray said in a statement: "Amie's life has been brutally taken but now she can rest in peace. Her strength lives on in all of us."

The jury at Winchester Crown Court saw CCTV footage in which Saadi was "loitering" around the women before walking on to the sand, attacking them and running after one of them.
