DJOKOVIC COULD HAVE PLAYED HIS LAST OPEN

NOVAK DJOKOVIC concedes there is a chance he has played his last Australian Open after limping out of his second major championship in seven months with boos ringing in his ears.
Wimbledon this summer is now the Serbian superstar's best hope of winning a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam tournament.
The record 10-time Australian Open champion needed painkillers and heavy strapping for a "muscle tear" to complete his quarter-final win against Carlos Alcaraz.
Despite Djokovic not training for the previous two days, his coach Andy Murray said his fellow 37-year-old was always going to "give it a good shot" against Alex Zverev in the semi-finals.
But, after an 81-minute first set, which ended with Djokovic dumping a forehand volley into the net to end the tiebreak, the Serb surprised his opponent and the crowd by crossing the net to concede the match.
The Olympic champion turned to wave to the Rod Laver Arena and was booed by many fans before walking off.
