ANOTHER record extending win for Dame Sarah Storey helped take Great Britain's Paralympic medal haul to 100, while their 42 golds beats the 41 won in Tokyo in 2021.
Dame Sarah, 46, claimed her 19th career Paralympic gold, edging out France's Heidi Gaugain at the finish of the C4-5 women's road race in Paris. She said: "It's amazing. Really amazing, it has not sunk in at all.
"I'm just thankful that my wheel was in front at the finish."
Dame Sarah hasn't ruled out the possibility of competing at Los Angeles in 2028 when she will be 50. She said: "Who knows? Never say never to anything. This needs to sink in because it was one of the most exciting races that we've had and from the word go it was full gas."
In athletics, GB's Ben Sandilands, 21, set a world record in the men's T20 1500m. final to win on his Games debut.
