MYRETOWN is on course to make his return to action at Wetherby over Christmas after an early fall in the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury 11 days ago.
The winner of the Ultima Handicap Chase at Cheltenham Festival last March, Myretown, trained in tandem by Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore, went off a well-backed 4-1 favourite for his comeback.
But Derek Fox’s mount came down at the ninth of the 21 fences when in the lead, behind the Dan Skelton-saddled winner Panic Attack.
