Mum: My children's lives would be very difficult without Mary's Meals

A DAILY cup of porridge has transformed the health of a farmer’s under-nourished children, thanks to a charity backed by generous Daily Express readers.

Mother-of-five Theresa’s football-loving son Skeva, seven, and her daughter, nine, receive the fortified food provided by Mary’s Meals at Chimulambe Primary School, in Zambia.

Our readers have raised more than £18,300 for the charity, which feeds more than 2.4 million children across 18 countries every school day.

Theresa, whose other children live with their grandmother, said: “I have seen changes in my children’s health since Mary’s Meals began giving them porridge.

“Before, they were malnourished. Now they are active and participating in class and sports at school.
