MP denies two sexual assaults at private club

SUSPENDED politician Patrick Spencer has denied sexually touching two women at a famous club.

The Tory MP for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, 37, allegedly cupped the women’s breasts at the members-only Groucho Club in Central London in August 2023.

At Westminster Magistrates' Court yesterday, he confirmed his full name — Michael Patrick Spencer — and date of birth, before pleading not guilty to two charges of sexual assault.

Prosecutor Polly Dyer told the court one woman “felt Mr Spencer put his arms under her arms” before he “cupped her breasts over the clothing”.
