Longer sentences for grooming gang who raped girl aged 13

A GROOMING gang that raped and abused a 13-year-old girl have had their “unduly lenient” sentences increased.

Three men who repeatedly abused the vulnerable teenager have had their prison terms increased by a total of eight years.

It came after the Solicitor General Lucy Rigby KC MP referred the case to the Court of Appeal under the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme.

The victim was targeted by Ibrar Hussain, now 47, and brothers Imtiaz, 64, and Fayaz Ahmed, 45, after she moved to Keighley, West Yorks, in the early 1990s.
