IPSWICH boss Kieran McKenna admitted a lack of cutting edge cost his side in their battle with fellow promotion favourites Southampton.
A Taylor Harwood-Bellis own goal after four minutes gave McKenna's side an early advantage — but Jay Robinson equalised for the visitors 16 minutes before the break (inset).
Sammie Szmodics hit the Saints’ post, while Robinson had a shot deflected away by Tractor Boys goalkeeper Alex Palmer as neither side were able to grab victory in a frantic second half.
McKenna (left) has seen star striker Liam Delap join Chelsea — and his men are still winless this season.
