John Stapleton 'positive' as he battles Parkinson's

BROADCASTER John Stapleton is battling Parkinson's disease, he revealed yesterday.
The veteran newsman, 78, who fronted Panorama, GMTV, and Newsnight during a stellar five-decade career, went public with his diagnosis in a heartbreaking BBC documentary.
He said: "I try to remain positive because what's the point of not being positive?" But the illness has affected his voice.
He added: "Speaking is how I've earned my living for the best part of 50 years, and it's very frustrating sometimes, particularly if people are constantly saying to you, 'sorry, what did you say?" "And you have to repeat yourself time and time and time again.
