Later, asked if a major issue in repairing relations with his family was the security situation, he said “100%”, adding: “Whatever noise is being created, whatever stories have been written, this has always been the sticking point.”

Harry is understood to have last seen his father in February 2024, when he flew back to the UK after the King’s cancer diagnosis was made public.
