Human rights fury as Shein rep 'dodges questions'

FASHION giant Shein came under fire after a representative failed to give MPs a direct answer over materials it uses. Yinan Zhu was repeatedly asked in a Commons business and trade select committee hearing whether the retailer used any Chinese cotton in its products. But she requested to write to the committee with answers later.

Committee chairman Liam Byrne said her behaviour "bordered on contempt".

Peter Frankental, of Amnesty International UK, called it "stonewalling".
