Hospital waits fall to lowest in 2 years

THE waiting list for routine hospital treatment in England has fallen to its lowest level in more than two years, according to the latest monthly performance figures for hospitals in England.
An estimated 7.36 million treatments were waiting to be carried out at the end of May, down from 7.39 million treatments at the end of April - the lowest since March 2023.
