Home truths about rotten Labour liars

Daily Express

|

September 02, 2025

THIS rancid Labour Party is rotting from the Cabinet down, and that bad whiff we can all smell is the stench of hypocrisy. As soon as Starmer took office he and his Cabinet were outed as gift-grabbing hypocrites, found to have pocketed designer glasses, clothing, accommodation, football and Swifty tickets, despite telling the public only months before they would be whiter than white. Well, it now appears that the supposed working-class hero Angela Rayner has ramped that hypocrisy up a gear with the purchase of her latest home.

- Esther McVey

As a Conservative I support the right of an individual to buy a house. Indeed, it was Margaret Thatcher who introduced the game-changing policy of Right To Buy, allowing working-class council tenants to purchase their own home. Equally, as a Conservative I support people having the freedom to buy a second home should they wish to do so.
