High blood pressure putting millions at early death risk

MORE than four in 10 adults do not know their blood pressure reading — despite a high level being the biggest preventable cause of death.

Blood Pressure UK said there were more than four million people in the UK with undiagnosed elevated readings.

They are unknowingly at risk of heart attack, stroke, kidney disease, vascular dementia and early death.
