Harry's 'little legends' praise
Daily Express
|October 01, 2024
PRINCE Harry hailed the resilience of seriously ill youngsters for "uplifting all those around you" in a moving speech at the WellChild awards.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, referred to them as "little legends" during his fourth trip back to the UK this year.
Harry beamed as he arrived at the event, which honours the achievements of children battling serious conditions, and displayed his natural way with youngsters.
The duke was upstaged by six-yearold Noah Nicholson - who has cerebral palsy and chronic lung disease as he presented him with the award for the most inspirational child aged four to six.
Recognising the lad's toy animal comforters, he said: "My daughter Lili has these lovies."
Noah playfully grabbed his beard and threw his toys on the floor delighting in seeing the prince pick them up.
CrystalHis mother, Tracey Nicholson, 42, from Grimsby, Lincs, apologised for her son's antics but he replied: "Don't apologise, I love it."
