Grooming victims: Police abused us too

FIVE women groomed by rape gangs in Rotherham have told how they were also abused by police.

Three former officers have been arrested as part of a probe into the alleged assaults, while a fourth has since died.

One victim said she was raped in a marked squad car when she was just 12 years old.

‘The officer would even threaten to take her to a grooming gang if she refused to have sex with him.

Willow, not her real name, told the BBC she felt “destroyed” after the corrupt officer was sent to interview her when she finally reported the abuse following being pressured into an illegal abortion.

She saw the officer rip up her statement and throw it in the bin. He then closed the case.
