BRITAIN has signed its first formal treaty under the Aukus defence pact, which is due to generate up to £20bn in trade while supporting more than 21,000 jobs.
Cementing a 50-year union with Australia, the deal underpins the delivery of conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines to the Commonwealth nation.
