Borthwick praises duo's impact
STEVE BORTHWICK has hailed the influence of his Dad's Army on the latest bunch of English new recruits.
The England head coach has leaned heavily on the experience of veteran props Dan Cole and Joe Marler on the current trip to Japan and New Zealand.
Cole, 37 and on 113 caps, will equal Jason Leonard's record mark for an England forward if he plays against the All Blacks in Dunedin next Saturday.
Marler, 34 the day after that Test, is on 94 caps and, although he has hinted this is his last tour, Cole said last week he is going nowhere.
