WREXHAM manager Phil Parkinson insists there will be no fear as his Hollywood-backed side step into the Championship against highly fancied Southampton tomorrow.

Just three seasons ago the North Wales club would have been anticipating a game against Saints’ neighbours Eastleigh in the National League.

Now the Tinseltown dream which has enjoyed three consecutive promotions knows no bounds, with Parkinson saying: “What a great challenge for us. I don’t want us to fear it, I really don’t.”

Emboldened by eight summer signings, with more to come, survival is not a word being bandied about at the club.

The Championship might be a killing field for managers - 19 perished in 2024-25 — but Parkinson is up for challenge.
