AN EX-RAF nurse's rare lung disease was only detected thanks to her family's boisterous dog.
Pat Gildea was caring for Mylo, her daughter's deaf black Labrador, when it accidentally bumped her stomach.
After she was left sore, an X-ray revealed two broken ribs - and white speckles on her lungs, which tests confirmed as interstitial lung disease.
