Captains Donald and Bradley are leading by example

RYDER CUP captains Luke Donald and Keegan Bradley showed their players how it is done as they emerged among the early pacesetters at the US PGA Championship.

Donald and Bradley both made it clear to Ryder Cup hopefuls that the Majors will have a huge bearing on selection for Bethpage Black in September.

But it was the men picking the teams who caught the eye on the course. Donald, only taking part on a special invitation due to his Ryder Cup captaincy, carded an opening-round 67 to finish four under par and said: "It was a pleasant surprise.
