|March 04, 2025
A FORMER Manchester United footballer whose career was cut short as a teenager has scored a £400,000 lottery win.
Clifford Bull, 82, was signed by the legendary Sir Matt Busby, manager of the famous “Busby Babes”, in 1957 as a 15-year-old schoolboy.
He arrived in Manchester just 10 days before the tragic 1958 Munich air disaster, which decimated the team. Cliff was a promising left winger but his career was cut short by a serious knee injury, and he was forced to retire in his teens.
