Burn puts ref on spot over penalty blow

NEWCASTLE defender Dan Burn has revealed what the referee told him after dismissing a penalty appeal against Paris Saint-Germain.

The French side had an early chance in the Champions League clash after a spot-kick was awarded for handball.

But Newcastle were denied in a similar penalty box incident to spark controversy at Parc des Princes.

Lewis Miley was adjudged to have handled the ball in the opening minute after the ball bounced off Bradley Barcola’s arm.

Referee Slavko Vincic awarded a penalty after a VAR intervention, but Nick Pope produced a great save to deny Ousmane Dembele.
