BBC settles discrimination case with female presenters
Daily Express
|March 15, 2025
THE BBC has agreed to a settlement with four female news presenters just days before their employment tribunal was due to begin.
Martine Croxall, Annita McVeigh and Kasia Madera had accused the broadcaster of discrimination based on age, sex, union membership and wages. Karin Giannone alleged discrimination based on age, sex and wages.
All four claimed they had lost out on top jobs in a “rigged” recruitment process. The size of their settlement and its terms have not been revealed.
Bosses previously insisted the process was “rigorous and fair”.
